Since 14 January 2026 the Louvre charges €32 for visitors from outside the European Economic Area and €22 for EEA residents/citizens. Time-slot booking is required for general admission. Closed on Tuesdays.

Opening hours
Mon, Thu, Sat, Sun 09:00–18:00; Wed & Fri 09:00–21:00. Closed Tuesdays and on 1 Jan, 1 May and 25 Dec. Last entry 1 hour before closing; rooms cleared 30 minutes before closing.

Paris 1st arr. Metro: Palais-Royal / Musée du Louvre (lines 1 and 7), Pyramides (line 14). Carrousel entrance: 99 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris.

How to buy and use
- Book a time slot on the official Louvre ticketing site.
- Arrive at your time slot; bags must be left open for Vigipirate security checks.
- The Carrousel entrance (99 rue de Rivoli) is open to all visitors with a ticket.
Good to know
- The Louvre warns about mirror sites and 'queue-jump' tickets; buy only on the official site.
- Free on the first Friday of the month after 18:00 (except July and August) and on 14 July.
- Booking a time slot is recommended even for free-admission visitors.
