Paper arrival cards were replaced on 1 October 2025. Submit the free online Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) within 7 days before arrival. Korean passport holders can stay 90 days visa-free.

- Who
- Foreign nationals without an Alien Resident Certificate, resident visa or diplomatic ID, including visa-exempt visitors; also certain Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau permit holders.
- When
- Within 7 days before arrival, and before immigration clearance.

- One submission per arrival; can be updated via 'Update Arrival Card'.
- Processing
- Confirmation email is sent automatically after submission.
Steps
- Open twac.immigration.gov.tw and choose 'Submit Arrival Card'.
- Email Verification: verify your email address.
- Traveler Information: enter passport, occupation and phone.
- Itinerary: enter flight and accommodation in Taiwan.
- Review, then submit and keep the confirmation email.

Watch out
- Submission is free; sites charging for TWAC are not the National Immigration Agency.
- There is no paper card to fall back on; QR codes at the airport only link to the online form, which must be done before immigration.
- Your passport must have at least 6 months validity at entry for visa-exempt entry.

Can I still use a paper arrival card in Taiwan?
No. Since 1 October 2025 all paper arrival cards were replaced by TWAC.
How early can I submit?
Within 7 days before arrival (the window was originally 3 days).
How long can Koreans stay visa-free?
90 days, counted from the day after arrival, not extendable. You need a passport valid 6+ months and a confirmed onward or return ticket.
