Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) Guide
Most foreign visitors must submit the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within 3 days before arrival. Singapore citizens and a few other groups are exempt; Koreans are not.

- Foreign visitors. Exempt: all Singapore citizens, diplomatic/official passport holders, Malaysian PR and long-term pass holders, Brunei GCI and Brunei–Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders, Thai Border Pass and Indonesian PLB holders.

- Within 3 days before arrival (mandatory since 1 January 2024).

Steps
- Open imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main and choose 'REGISTER'.
- Enter passport and personal details.
- Enter arrival date, flight and accommodation in Malaysia.
- Submit and keep the confirmation sent to your email.
- Use 'CHECK REGISTRATION' if you need to confirm or retrieve it.

Watch out
- Use only the imi.gov.my domain; many lookalike 'MDAC' sites exist.
- Cash or bearer instruments over USD 10,000 equivalent must be declared to customs.
- You cannot carry Malaysian ringgit over USD 10,000 equivalent without Bank Negara Malaysia permission.
