Da Nang Car Rental: Korean IDP Rules and Car with Driver
Since 23 July 2023, Korean IDPs have been recognised in Vietnam under a Korea–Vietnam mutual-recognition agreement, so self-drive is legally possible. Many travellers still choose a car with driver or ride-hailing apps.
Can you drive with a foreign licence?
Vietnam follows the 1968 Vienna Convention while Korea issues 1949 Geneva IDPs, but a bilateral agreement in force since 23 July 2023 recognises Korean IDPs. Carry the IDP, your Korean licence and your passport together.
