South Korea is a visa waiver country, so Koreans visiting New Zealand need an NZeTA plus the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL). Via the app it costs NZD 17 + NZD 100 IVL = NZD 117; via the website NZD 23 + NZD 100 = NZD 123. Valid 2 years; stays up to 3 months. Allow 72 hours. The free New Zealand Traveller Declaration can be submitted from 24 hours before your trip.

Steps
- Check you are a visa waiver country citizen (South Korea is).
- Use the official NZeTA app (cheaper; up to 10 people at once) or the official NZeTA website.
- Enter passport details and take or upload a face photo.
- Answer the character and health questions.
- Pay the NZeTA fee and the NZD 100 IVL together.
- Keep the NZeTA confirmation email for check-in.

Watch out
- Immigration New Zealand says to use the official NZeTA website or app; other sites charge extra.

- If you have a criminal conviction or were deported, apply for a visa instead.

Watch out

Is the paper arrival card still used?
The paper Passenger Arrival Card was digitised as the NZTD in 2023. A paper declaration is still available for those who cannot do it online; if you submit digitally you do not fill in paper.
Do I need a new NZeTA every trip?
No. It is valid for 2 years for multiple trips, unless you change passports.
